Monster Hunter Tri Weapons by diemortalroom Monster Hunter Tri Weapons by diemortalroom
The weapons we made for Monster Hunter Tri's preview and launch events in the UK. They're a little battered now after going through four events and the Switch Axe sadly lost a bit of its hilt!

Of course naturally I would be like "Oh man how did you make them!?" but, I read a few comments below. I think that you are talented for being able to make these bad boys. I'm pretty jealous that you got to swing around a switch-axe and great sword though ahaha.
Good job. I've seen this before, but, I am just now getting to comment it. I hope you make more soon.

Is plastazote toxic at all if you breath it in when cutting it up. Or is it safe to work with in general?

I remember drawing up blueprints for a functional Great Sword. still got them somewhere too....even added plans for ways to electrify it. resembles a Ravager Blade from the Freedom series. might upload it in the future

very nice work though.

I've seen in pervious comments that you said they're made from plastazote, but how thick was the plastazote, and did you use it for the blade or hilt? And what are the 'teeth' on the jawblade made from? Also may I ask what paint you use? It would be great to have an anawer from you as I plan to make some Monster hunter weapons in the future :D

it was 10mm plastazote doubled up, the teeth are plastazote too. They're built over toy cricket bats. The paint was just spray paint and acrylic after it'd been primed.
